YMCA NSW win Stromlo Leisure Centre contract

YMCA NSW has been awarded the contract to operate the $36.49 million Stromlo Leisure Centre in Molonglo Valley when it is completed by mid-year. 

YMCA NSW currently operate the Gungahlin Leisure Centre, Lakeside Leisure Centre and Canberra Olympic Pool, and following the tender process will operate Stromlo Leisure Centre.

Sport Minister Yvette Berry says the Stromlo Leisure Centre will feature a 50 metre pool, program pool, leisure pool, toddlers pool, splash park, gym and creche.

“The centre will… [also] host to a range of activities like learn to swim classes, aqua aerobics, and various types of warm water and gentle exercise programs,” Minister Berry says.
