Disabled man assaulted by teenagers

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an assault of a 35-year-old disabled man by a group of teenagers in Garema Place last week (December 7).

At about 3pm the man was approached by a group of four to six young men where an altercation occurred resulting in the man being assaulted.

Anyone who witnessed the assault who has not yet spoken to police is urged to come forward, in an effort to identify the offenders.

Additionally, police are seeking any footage captured by passers-by, who were in the general vicinity of Garema Place and Northbourne Avenue between 3pm and 3.30pm on December 7.

Anyone with information that may assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website, quoting reference number 6980694. Information can be provided anonymously.
