Update: Fallen tree, damaged powerlines cleared

A FALLEN tree that damaged powerlines and closed a lane on Melrose Drive this afternoon (January 14) has been removed by firefighters. 

One of three northbound lanes near the intersection of Melrose Drive and Hindmarsh Drive, were closed while ACT Fire and Rescue crews completed safety checks.

All crews have departed the area.
