Motorist dies after hitting Yarralumla tree

 A 92-year-old man has died in hospital after his car ran into a tree in Yarralumla. He is the seventh person to die on ACT roads this year. 

At about 1pm on Thursday (July 22), his car collided with a tree on Hopetoun Circuit, Yarralumla.

The police Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident, and a report will be prepared for the ACT coroner.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage from around the time of the incident is urged to call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website
