A STRONG cold front, including thunderstorms and high winds, is forecast to push through the ACT region late tomorrow (May 30) night.
Snowfalls are expected down to 1000 metres late on Monday and Tuesday.
Police say that in similar conditions in the past, drivers have required the assistance of emergency services in areas of the Brindabella Mountains, when they have become stuck following early season snowfalls.
They are reminding drivers that snowy conditions will make it harder to control vehicles and driving in snowy conditions can be dangerous even for experienced drivers.
