THE number of people hospitalised with COVID-19 in the ACT has fallen, but new cases have shot up to almost 1500 today (June 29).
The ACT recorded 1458 new cases of the virus in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, 784 via PCR tests and 674 via RATs.
Today’s report reveals hospitalisations fell to 116 with one person in intensive care. It is the first day hospital numbers have declined since the start of their five-day record-breaking streak.
There are now 6543 active cases in the territory.
