EIGHTY people are in hospital with COVID-19, a record number of admissions as a result of the virus, ACT Health reports today (May 17).
A woman in her 90s has also died with covid, marking the 59th life lost in the ACT since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
Of the 80 people in hospital, five are in intensive care and two are on ventilators.
The ACT has recorded 1129 new cases today, with 521 through PCR testing and 608 through RATs.
