Second day of more than 1000 covid cases

CANBERRA has recorded a second day of more than 1000 new COVID-19 cases.

According to the latest figures from ACT Health, there are 1132 new cases of covid today (May 12), 594 via PCR tests and 538 via RATs.

There are currently 5875 active cases in the territory.

Seventy-four people are currently in Canberra hospitals with the virus, five of whom are in intensive care. None are on ventilators.

On the vaccine front, 66.5 per cent of children aged five to 11 have had two doses. 97.1 per cent of residents aged over five are now fully vaccinated.
