Word has come from the Economic Development Directorate that the re-opening of City Walk’s Merry-Go-Round has been delayed and it is now expected to re-open on Monday September 15.
“Unfortunately, frost and rain has delayed some of the roof works and further cracks were found in the fascia. Before the fascia repairs could be undertaken, advice was sought from the heritage architect in order to ensure that the repair work was completed in accordance with heritage obligations,” A spokesperson said.
There certainly appears to still be quite a lot of work to be done for an opening on Monday week.
