Behold! Your water utility’s new logo!

IN November, the confusingly named ACTEW Water announced it was going to rebrand itself as Icon Water.

Last week a Canberra charity circulated an email hailing its sponsor and there, for the first time, was Icon Water’s unseen new logo.

Minimalist in design, intriguingly it has no reference to Canberra or the ACT.

ACTEW Water launches the logo to 400 staff this week and then the organisation’s first day as Icon Water will be May 4, when there will be a “symbolic changeover mini-launch event” at its Mitchell office.

MD John Knox said at the time of the initial announcement that the rebranding had provided “the opportunity to refocus the organisation for the next 100 years”.
