Fourteen new covid cases and nine in hospital

Chief Minister Andrew Barr.

CANBERRA has recorded 14 new covid cases overnight and nine people are now in hospital.

One of the patients in hospital remains in intensive care in a critical condition.

All of the new cases can be linked to already-known cases. Thirteen of them were in quarantine during their entire infectious period, with one of them infectious in the community for a very short term.

That person is considered a low risk, says ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr.
