Here we go again – severe storm sweeps the region

BOM cancels storm warning, but SES says risk remains

THE Bureau of Meteorology warns that severe thunderstorms of heavy rainfall, damaging winds and large hailstones are moving towards Belconnen, Civic, Tuggeranong, Hall, Gungahlin, Canberra Airport, South Canberra, Weston Creek and Woden Valley, and by 6.50pm to Queanbeyan. 

This is the second consecutive night Canberra has been facing severe storms. Last night (January 7) the city was spared and BOM cancelled its warning..
