New covid cases surge in QPRC

HOSPITAL numbers have risen in southern NSW as new covid case numbers surge in the Queanbeyan Palerang local government area today (January 12).

The Queanbeyan Palerang council area has 204 new cases of covid today and the the Southern NSW Local Health District is reporting 467 new COVID-19 cases across the region in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

There are 20 people reported to be hospital, with three of them in intensive care.

Elsewhere in southern NSW there are:

  • 47 new cases in Bega Valley,
  • 39 in the Eurobodalla,
  • 94 in Goulburn Mulwaree,
  • 55 in Snowy Monaro,
  • 12 in Upper Lachlan and
  • 16 in Yass Valley.
