Water supply issues in Queanbeyan

SOME homes and businesses in Queanbeyan are having issues with their water supply.

According to the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC) residents in the areas of Queanbeyan, east Queanbeyan, Barracks Flat and the Ridgeway are experiencing low water pressure today (November 18).

A QPRC spokesperson said: “We have an issue with the water supply to one of our key drinking water reservoirs in Queanbeyan.

“We have put in place a temporary limited solution, that will not bring water levels to full capacity.”

Until the problem is fixed, QPRC is urging residents to reduce their water use.

“Things like delaying your load of washing, not watering gardens or washing cars – using as little water as possible for the day,” said the spokesperson.
