TWO girls, aged 12 and 13, have been charged with arson after a granny flat was left completely destroyed by fire.
On Monday night, the girls allegedly entered the one-bedroom flat – at the front of the house where they live – and set fire to clothing belonging to the person living in the flat.
An accelerant was used once the clothing was alight, and the fire spread within the granny flat, leaving it completely destroyed.
No person was injured during the incident.
