‘Nothing of interest’ found at Gibraltar Falls

Update: August 22, 5pm: Police report nothing of interest has been found in an extensive search of Gibraltar Falls on Tuesday, in response to reports of a possible missing woman.

WITNESSES parked off Corin Road, near the closed Gibraltar Falls entrance, reportedly heard calls for help on Monday afternoon.

About 5.30pm the calls for help were reported to police.

Officers and park rangers have searched the area, however, they say at this time no people requiring assistance have been found.

The search, including the use of drones, was suspended at midnight, and resumed early Tuesday morning.

Police are urgently seeking to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of Gibraltar Falls on Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information should call 131 444.
