Two of the best-known sculptors in the immediate region are part of the international display at this year’s Swell Sculpture Festival at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast.
Al Phemister, from Yass, and Tracy Luff, from Goulburn, have made the journey this week to install their works on the beach.
Both are well-known for creating public sculptures in the region and beyond.
Phemister is best known in Canberra for his part in founding Sculpture in the Paddock and is exhibiting his popular Dandelion Series, made from steel components. Luff is exhibiting her work Exhaust Notes.
Swell Sculpture, Currumbin Beach until September 15.
