A Deakin man was allegedly punched by two men armed with a hammer and knife who forced their way into his home late on Saturday night.
The two men demanded the resident’s car keys and wallet, punching him twice, before fleeing in a grey Mitsubishi Triton ute and a black Nissan Navara ute.
Early on Sunday morning a police patrol in Holt located the Mitsubishi Triton in front of a residence. Officers spoke to the occupants and, after reviewing CCTV footage from the home invasion, arrested a 35-year-old man.
Police have charged him with aggravated burglary with the intent to commit theft and aggravated robbery in company.
The identity of the second man is still being investigated.
