A 29-year-old man has been charged and two homemade firearms have been seized after police swooped on a home in Mawson.
Early on Thursday morning four people forced their way into a home on Du Faur Place, Mawson, and assaulted the resident before stealing his wallet and vehicle.
However, police believed the residence was targeted in error and subsequently searched a neighbouring property on Sunday where they seized two homemade firearms and a quantity of drugs, suspected to be methamphetamine and cocaine.
A 29-year-old man living there was arrested and charged with breach of bail and disqualified driving. Further charges are expected to be laid.
Police are still trying to identify the four who committed the home invasion.
