Meals in Schools pilot program begins

The Meals in Schools pilot in ACT public schools has begun.

Students at five schools will receive free breakfast and lunch three days a week throughout the school year. The pilot will run until July 2025.

Participating schools are:
•    Narrabundah Early Childhood School 
•    Richardson Primary School 
•    Gilmore Primary School 
•    Gold Creek School – Senior Campus (years 7 to 10)  
•    Melba Copland Secondary School – College Campus (years 10 to 12)

The ACT government committed nearly $4 million towards the pilot scheme in the last budget.

It is about time as the Kambah Lions Club have been helping the Wanniassa Junior and Senior Schools and the Namadgi Schools with their meals and food Programs. We are in our second year with the schools.
