Truck protest to disrupt morning traffic

A protesting truck convoy will disrupt morning commuters around Canberra on Tuesday between 8 and 11, police are warning.

Police say that after 8am, they expect two groups of trucks will converge at the top of Northbourne Avenue and proceed towards the Civic.

Roads that are expected to be impacted include:
•   Northbourne Avenue,
•    Cooyong and Coranderrk Streets in Civic,
•    Parkes Way,
•    Monaro Highway and Hindmarsh Drive (near Fyshwick)
•    Canberra Avenue and
•    State Circle.

From State Circle the convoy is expected to travel via the same route back to EPIC.

Protestors are then expected to congregate at Federation Mall.
