Turner home search turns up cash and drugs

A 47-year-old man faces court after police seized almost half a million dollars in cash, drugs and other drug paraphernalia from his home in Turner.

Officers found almost $500,000 in cash, 250grams of a substance suspected of being cocaine, 2.5kg of dried cannabis and other drug-related items during a search of his home on August 20.

The man was not home at the time of the police raid and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He presented to a police station on Monday where he was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug, trafficking cannabis and dealing in the proceeds of crime.
