THERE are seven patients in ACT hospitals with covid, of which two are there for other medical reasons. One patient is in a critical condition and on ventilation.
There have been nine new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday (August 24).
Of these cases, three were in quarantine during their infectious period. Of the remaining six – four were infectious in the community for at least part of their infectious period, and two are still being assessed.
Here are today’s numbers:
- There are now 176 active cases associated with this outbreak.
- As of 9am today ACT Health is working with more than 10,800 people who have self-identified as close contacts of ACT outbreaks.
- More than 6600 tests were collected across the ACT yesterday, from government and private providers.
- ACT Pathology and private providers returned 6546 negative test results in the 24 hours to 9am today.
- Total vaccinations in the ACT are 194,132.
- There are more than 400 exposure locations listed for the ACT.
