Man charged after road rage incident

A 34-year-old Calwell man was arrested in Civic yesterday (November 29) following a road rage incident in Wanniassa in October.

Police allege that the man – whose bail conditions included not to drive a motor vehicle – verbally abused another driver and took car keys during an incident on Athllon Drive around 8.30pm on October 25.

After being spotted by police in Civic yesterday, the man tried to resist police by driving on the wrong side of the road and running a red light.

The man was later arrested in Knowles Place and will face court today (November 30) on three counts of driving while disqualified, failing to stop a motor vehicle for police, dangerous driving, and using an unregistered vehicle.
