POLICE say a man who escaped from a NSW jail last week, may flee to Canberra.
Trevor Ryan, 20, who previously resided in the ACT, escaped from the Mannus Correctional Facility in Tumbarumba around 4.30pm on Thursday, July 14.
NSW Police said since his escape, they believe he was responsible for the attempted kidnapping of a 5-year-old girl and the wounding of a woman.
ACT Policing have asked the public not to approach Ryan, who is considered violent and dangerous.
He is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 177cm (5’10”) tall, of medium build, with brown eyes, and black hair shaved on both sides
