Canberrans prefer an ‘Australian Story’

CANBERRA viewers weren’t too taken with the latest reality television shows this week, with WIN’S “Big Brother” and Prime’s “The X Factor” slipping in ratings.

“Big Brother”‘s best episode managed just over 24,000 viewers while “The X-Factor” attracted 33,000.

Meanwhile, WIN’s “Underbelly:Badness” just scraped into the Top 100 at No. 94, with a paltry 14,700 viewers.

The NRL finals drew respectable audiences, but this week’s figures don’t include the Raiders’ home final on Sunday.

Again, ABC2’s share of all viewing was boosted by the Paralympics, despite the fact that individual sessions haven’t attracted large numbers.

WIN’s new “dramedy” House Husbands, No.4 nationally, was less impressive in Canberra.

And TEN continues to lag well behind in the ratings, with its best performing program being a repeat of Modern Family on Thursday night (27,700 viewers).

ABC’s “Australian Story” took out top spot on the list, attracting 41,548.
