Man pulls knife on police

A GILMORE man has threatened police with a knife during his arrest in Forrest this morning (July 5) and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today.

Police were called to a secure car park of an apartment complex at about 8.15am following a report of a man breaking into vehicles at that location.

On arrival, police located the 37-year-old man inside a stolen motor vehicle, bearing stolen number plates and containing suspected stolen property.

The man threatened police with a knife before he was arrested.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with a first instance warrant, obstruct/resist territory public official, possession of stolen property, trespass and provide false name/address.
