Work in the Senate Chamber at OPH

THE Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House has announced that from June 15, live sessions will be available for the “Behind the Lines” and the “Truth, Power and a Free Press” exhibitions on the lower gallery. But behind the scenes work will continue on the main floor, in the Senate Chamber and in the old Country Party Room telling the story of the National Party of Australia through a collection of objects and interpretive material.

THE online silent auction and exhibition “Choose Art: Give Light to Refugees”, has now opened. It aims to raise funds for the refugees affected by the COVID-19 crisis and features art from 150 from all corners of the globe, with all funds received from the sales going directly to the charity “Help Refugees”. Bid via app.galabid.com from June 8-29.

BUDDING Theatre will be holding a “Young Stars Seminar” via Zoom from 4pm-5.30pm this Sunday, June 14. The guests are young performers who have won coveted professional roles in the country, like Young Elsa (Amelia Heaven) from the upcoming Australian production of “Frozen!” and Charlie (Elijah “Tiger” Slavinskis) from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Bookings at buddingtheatre.com

THE new “iwonder” documentary site, is now showing “Honeyland”, the first documentary to receive an Academy Award nomination for both Best Documentary and Best International Feature Film at this year’s ceremony. It follows Nestled in an isolated mountain region deep within the Balkans, Hatidze Muratova, who lives with her ailing mother in a remote Balkan village as the last in a long line of wild beekeepers.
