Griffith man charged for hotel death

Warren Hordpenko was killed at Kingston Hotel on Sunday.

A GRIFFITH man’s been charged with murder after he allegedly assaulted and killed a man in Kingston Hotel on Sunday (July 5). 

Police report that the offender, a 35-year-old, entered the hotel at about 8.58pm and assaulted Warren Hordpenko, a 44-year-old from Dalmeny, NSW.

Mr Hordpenko died on the scene.

Following a police investigation, the Griffith man was arrested yesterday in the Civic area at about 1.20pm.

He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today.
