THE out-of-control Orroral Valley Fire has been upgraded to “watch and act” by the ESA, concerned that fire activity is expected to increase this afternoon as conditions deteriorate.
The agency says the fire is travelling slowly in an easterly direction, is out of control and firefighters are responding.
No properties are under threat at this time, but people in the areas of BOBOYAN ROAD, TOP NAAS ROAD, APOLLO ROAD and THARWA VILLAGE could be affected by bushfire burning in the Namadgi National Park.
“Conditions are changing and could get worse,” the agency warns.
“People in the southern suburbs of BANKS, GORDON and CONDER and surrounding areas should monitor conditions closely and be ready to act.”
