THE Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) COVID-19 testing site in Mitchell will be closed from 10pm this Friday night (December 17), with a new clinic opening in its place.
The EPIC site, which has performed nearly 250,000 tests since first opening in March 2020, will permanently close to allow for normal operations and events to continue at the venue.
However, a new Mitchell drive through testing clinic will open from Saturday.
The new site will be located at 2 Tooth Street (with access from Dacre street) and will operate from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.
Over the Christmas holiday period, the following COVID-19 testing clinics will be operating:
- Mitchell COVID-19 Drive Through Testing Centre – 8am-10pm, seven days a week (including public holidays)
- Garran COVID-19 Testing Centre – 7am-9pm, seven days a week (including public holidays)
- Kambah COVID-19 Drive Through Testing Centre – 8am-4pm, seven days a week (8am-12pm on public holidays)
The Nicholls COVID-19 Testing Centre will be closed from December 25 to January 3.
