Welcome to “Artsday”, arts editor HELEN MUSA’s unending world of arts news. 

CANBERRA Contemporary Art Space Manuka has Sarah Rice’s “Text/ure – the drawings”, where she’ll be exhibiting the drawings from her music-and-art project, “Text/ure”, along with poetry and audio-visuals showing how one art-form responds to another. Until April 3.

IN “CLOSE UP: Liquid Days, The Song Company will perform Philip Glass’s 1986 song-cycle, “Songs from Liquid Days”, where he set words by Paul Simon, Suzanne Vega, David Byrne and Laurie Anderson. “Free the River” (Barka) 2021, by Glenn Loughrey

“AQUAWHEN II?” is an exhibition staged at the ANU by the Water Justice Hub, inspired by the experiences of 33 residents of Western NSW who appeared before the 2019 Citizens’ Inquiry on the health of the Barka-Darling River. There are also paintings, calligraphy works, film, a soundscape and “Justice Posters”. At the JG Crawford Building, 132 Lennox until Friday, March 25. All welcome.

STEVE Rogers’ play “King of Pigs,” directed by Blazey Best, explores the lives of multiple women in both familiar and terrifying situations. The Q, Queanbeyan, March 24-26. Boo at theq.net.au

Liz Faul, “Windy Day.”

“WILD Things” is an exhibition of wildlife artworks by Canberra artist Liz Faul. Kinkora Gallery, 5 Stornaway Road, Queanbeyan, March 26 and April 2 only. Admittance by confirmed bookings only here

SELBY & FRIENDS will perform works by Dvorak and Ravel in “Back From The Brink,” Llewellyn Hall, 7pm Thursday, March 24, book here.
