CANBERRA Health Services (CHS) has received its three-year accreditation from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
Ten independent assessors and one assessor in-training conducted an organisation-wide assessment over a five-day period.
CHS met all 151 actions across eight National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Highlights of the assessment included passionate, enthusiastic and committed staff, strengthening partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and inclusion of patients in delivery and planning of care.
Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has congratulated the 8500 team members of CHS.
“To achieve accreditation and meet all the national standards while managing the significant impacts of a global pandemic is a fantastic result for the CHS team,” she said.
