QPRC daily numbers rocket to 251

COVID case numbers have rocketed higher in the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council area with 251 new cases reported today (January 15).

The numbers were a jarring lift from the 37 and 33 new cases reported in the past couple of days.

The Southern NSW Local Health District today also reported 553 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday in southern NSW. Self reported rapid antigen test (RAT) results are not yet included in these numbers. The District is managing 3624 active cases.

There are 28 people in hospital, including four in hospital.

Across the region there are:

  • 36 new cases in the Bega Valley LGA,
  • 104 in Eurobodalla, 
  • 62 in Goulburn Mulwaree,
  • 84 in Snowy Monaro,
  • 10 in Upper Lachlan and 
  • 6 in Yass Valley.
