NEW cases of COVID-19 nudged the ACT to a higher record, according to new figures from, ACT Health today (January 8).
In the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday 1305 new cases were detected. Canberra now has 4941 active cases and a total of 10,777 cases since March 12.
There are now 24 people with covid in hospital including five in intensive care, four of whom are on ventilators.
Negative test results received in the 24 hours to 9am today stand at 3112.
