P-plater clocked at 147km/h in Aranda

A P-plater from Bruce lost his licence and was fined more than $1800 after being caught travelling at 147 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Friday night.

At about 10.30pm police were targeting traffic speed on Caswell Drive in Aranda when a blue Volkswagen Golf flashed past  at 147km/h.

The 19-year-old driver was stopped, his provisional licence immediately suspended and he was issued with a $1841 fine.
