FOR SpringOut, Canberra Museum and Gallery is staging “Into the Groove – Madonna Dance Party,” featuring a performance from local drag artist Venus Mantrap and an all-Madonna play list, November 10.

- POLISH pianist Aleksandra Swigut joins the Orava Quartet in performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 in E minor, Fairfax Theatre, NGA, November 9.
- PHOENIX Collective performs Vaughan Williams and Emma Greenhill works, All Saints Church Ainslie, November 10.
- CANBERRA Qwire’s big 30th Anniversary Concert is at Llewellyn Hall, November 11.
- MICHAEL Tsalka joins Diana Weston in music for two harpsichords, piano and combinations of both. Wesley Music Centre, November 11.
- BELCO Arts is teaming up with Smith’s Alternative in the inaugural monthly “Smith’s@Belco” live-music series with Nashville-based, Australian guitarist-singer-songwriter Daniel Champagne, supported by Canberra guitarist, and roots musician, Alex Randles, Belconnen Arts Centre theatre, November 11.
- TOBY Cole’s Opera salon presents “Handel’s Crusade”, Smith’s Alternative, November 11.
- YOUNG cellist, Zachary O’Connor, will perform an hour-long recital with pianist Edward Neeman. Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Barton, November 12.
- THE National Capital Orchestra’s “American Melodies”, music from the US and Canada, is at Albert Hall, November 12.
- IN “Apeiron X Poetry”, Apeiron Baroque is joined by joined by local poets for words and music, Wesley Uniting Church, November 12.
- CANBERRA pianist Robert Schmidli will perform Haydn’s Sonata Hob XVI/42 in D major, Schumann’s Carnival scenes from Vienna, Op 26 and Poulenc’s Napoli, Wesley Music Centre, Forrest, November 15.
- THIRTY-FIVE young musicians and singers from Marie-Cecile’s Music Studio, supported by Arts National Molonglo Plains, will perform in The Q, Queanbeyan, November 12.

- “WINHANGANHA”, the new film by Jazz Money with a score by Dobby, will have its ACT gala premiere screening at Arc Cinema, November 15.
- THE Jewish International Film Festival is at Dendy Cinemas, November 5-22.
