Emergency vehicles were on standby as Qantas flight 1908 from Canberra landed in Brisbane on Friday night.

On approach to the Brisbane runway, the pilot told passengers about a brake problem, signalled by a cockpit warning light.

However, the Embraer 190  jet landed without issue.

One passenger described the landing as “smooth” and “you wouldn’t have known the brakes had failed”.

The incident is under investigation.
