There’s renewed hope that Bonza Airways is a step closer to flying into Canberra now that its fleet has expanded.
Bonza has another two aircraft in its fleet and talk of another hub airport for the carrier. It hopes to have a fleet of 10 aircraft before the year is out.
Canberra remains on the table after discussions with airport authorities, pending the outcome of a deal that suits the airline’s low-price model.
“Matilda” was christened late last year… and now, there’s “Bruce”, as the carrier prepares its expansion plans with a fourth base to be confirmed later this year.
Bonza CEO Tim Jordan said there couldn’t be a more suitable name for the airline’s latest aircraft.
“I feel every Aussie knows a Bruce and we’re proud to have our very own Bruce join Bonza’s fleet,” said Jordan.
“Like his companions, our purple army of fans on social media helped name this aircraft with Bruce being one of the most requested names we’ve had.
“The name is apt because we’re also encouraging Aussies to get off the Bruce Highway and on to Bonza’s Bruce with some great deals to be had within Bonza’s network of 21 destinations.”
