Woman is dead after being hit by a utility

A woman is dead after being hit by a utility in Jerrabomberra on Sunday morning.

NSW Police say emergency services were called to Bicentennial Drive at about 8.15am, but the 48-year-old woman had already died at the scene after being struck by a silver Nissan Navara utility.

Police believe that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle – a 54-year-old woman – had also allegedly hit a white Toyota Hilux parked at the scene.

The driver was taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries where she would also undergo mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and will be examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Anyone with information or dashcam/mobile phone footage is urged to contact Queanbeyan Police Station or call 1800 333000.
