A 19-year-old Greenway man has been charged with 15 family violence offences.
Police allege the man committed the offences over a three-month period between November and January with a woman he met via a social media platform earlier last year.
Among the 15 charges, police allege the man:
- Assaulted the woman while stationary in a car in Calwell including attempts to choke and suffocate her.
- Threatened to kill the woman while in that car by holding a pair of scissors to her throat.
- Threatened to burn down the house the woman was living in at the time in Greenway.
- Sending threatening messages including to kill the woman.
The woman reported the matters to police on Wednesday and the man was arrested at his Greenway home later that evening.
