Early morning speeding drivers were targeted by police on Parkes Way, heading east towards Civic on Thursday.
Police say five male drivers were caught between 4.45am and 5.30am, with the highest speed of 116km/h in the 90km/h zone.
- A white Ford Courier utility driven by a 28-year-old Kambah man, was detected travelling 106km/h.
- A Volkswagen Tiguan SUV driven by a 28-year-old man from Belconnen, was detected travelling at 116km/h.
- A Toyota Rav4 driven by a 42-year-old man from Kaleen, was detected travelling 108km/h.
- A Toyota Kluger driven by a 65-year-old man from Higgins, was detected travelling 103km/h.
- A Nissan Pulsar driven by a 41-year-old man from McKellar, was detected travelling 105km/h.
Police say all five drivers will be issued with infringement notices incurring one to three demerit points and fines of $326 or $484.
Parkes Way is one of the top five locations for injury collisions in the ACT.
