Man extradited over Narrabundah assault

A 38-year-old man has been charged with assaulting his partner at her home in Narrabundah, striking her in the face repeatedly on Tuesday evening. 

When the woman called for help the following morning, police allege the man grabbed her phone and assaulted her, striking her in the head eight times.

Once police got to the home a short time later, the woman was taken to hospital.

The man was arrested near Tarago, NSW, on Saturday and extradited to the ACT , where he faces family violence charges including two counts of aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and aggravated common assault.
