An 18-year-old man has been arrested after being found with an illegal gel-blaster in Lyons early on Thursday morning.
Police searched the man’s home at around 6.15am and found a gel-blaster, clip seal bags believed to contain cocaine, a small container containing a large amount of substance believed to be methylamphetamine and about $1200 in cash.
The man has been charged with multiple firearms offences and trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis.
Police say it is a criminal offence to possess a gel-blaster, which is a toy gun similar in design to airsoft guns, but the projectiles they shoot are 7mm-8mm superabsorbent polymer water beads.
