ACT Policing is investigating a single vehicle collision on the Monaro Highway this morning (Thursday, July 16) in which a male driver has died.
About 5.50am police responded to a report of a collision between Johnson and Isabella Drive northbound on the Monaro Highway.
Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision, which occurred after the vehicle driven by the man collided with a stationary truck.
ACT Ambulance Services attended the collision. He was the sole occupant of the car.
This is the seventh fatal collision on ACT roads this year.
ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team is requesting that any witnesses to the incident who have not yet spoken with police should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on act.crimestoppers.com.au.
