POLICE are investigating the death of a 21-month-old boy who was found in a backyard swimming pool at a home in Fisher last night (Thursday, December 30).
The ACT Ambulance Service took the toddler to Canberra Hospital, but at 7.40pm police were called to after the toddler could not be revived.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances around the death, however at this stage do not believe the death is suspicious.
Acting Superintendent Matt Craft said: “Unfortunately, this tragic situation is a reminder that water and children can be a very dangerous combination”.
