A 29-year-old Greenway woman will be summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court after failing a roadside breath test on Saturday (17 September).

About 11:50pm, a vehicle came to the attention of police patrolling in Wanniassa. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as holding a learner’s licence, was driving without an accompanying licensed driver and had her three young children in the vehicle.

The woman underwent a roadside screening for alcohol, returning a result exceeding the blood alcohol limit of 0.00 for learner drivers.

The woman was transported to Tuggeranong Police Station, where she underwent breath analysis, returning a result of 0.213.

The woman was issued with an Immediate Suspension Notice for her licence and will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
