Ute rolls, drink driver four times over the limit

THE driver of a white ute rolled at a roundabout on Pialligo Avenue has returned a breath test reading four times over the legal limit.

At about 5.50pm on Saturday (July 6) police responded to reports that a white Toyota utility was on it’s side near Canberra Airport.

The 31-year-old driver returned a positive breath test result over four times the legal 0.05 blood alcohol limit. His licence was immediately suspended.

No other vehicles were involved, and although an adult passenger and two young children were in the vehicle, nobody was seriously injured in the incident.

Witnesses to this incident or anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage should call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
