ALLBIDS.com.au launched a new prestige online brand catering exclusively for fine arts, antiques and premium furniture and jewellery with a party at The Marion.
“Evans Hastings Valuers and Auctioneers (to be known as EHVA.com.au) is the next evolution of the Canberra company following its booming foray into Sydney and the successful launch of its dedicated automotive offering CARBIDS.com.au a year ago,” said CEO Rob Evans.
“EHVA is an online marketplace focusing on curated prestige fine and decorative arts, paintings, antiques, jewellery, furniture and collectibles – quality assets for discerning buyers and sellers.
“It is significantly differentiated from our automotive, industrial and general auction offerings and we know this is what the fine arts and antiques market has been looking for.
“Our team of experts, including Adam McDonald, Caroline Jones and Angus Bowers, is second to none in the Australian arts and antiques auction space and our superior capability in boutique marketing will deliver outstanding results for vendors of high-end assets.”
Mr Evans said EHVA was powered by the state-of-the-art ALLBIDS online auction technology with unique features, including a section showing results of past auctions.
The site would feature Australian and international paintings, works on paper and sculpture, Australian and international antiques and 20th century furniture and design, Asian and Middle-Eastern antiques and quality furniture, early silver and ethnographic objects, as well as antique and contemporary jewellery, collectibles and more.
The new website was launched at The Marion, where party guests were treated to jazz by James Luke and Lachlan Coventry and had their portraits painted by artist Erin Whitty. A live auction raised $2900 for charity partners Menslink and Vinnies.
Group general manager Ben Hastings said the Canberra Arts and Antiques website (CBRAA) would be absorbed into EHVA.
“We will continue to offer onsite and online appraisals and valuations, as well as our specialty of onsite household and estate clearances and we aim to consign the best the Canberra region has to offer,” he said.
“We are the leading providers for estate sales and downsizing across the region and with EHVA coming online we now have a prestige site to achieve premium prices for those items that are a cut above.
“Visitors to our premises will also notice changes over the coming months which reflect our commitment to this important sector of the market.”
