Supermarket staff threatened with knife

STAFF were held at knife-point during an aggravated robbery at a Richardson supermarket last night.

About 8.15pm a man entered Supabarn Express and threatened staff with a knife, demanding the till be opened.

Following a short stand-off with the owner of the store, the offender fled the store empty handed.

He was last seen running towards McLorinan Street, Richardson.

The offender is described as 183cm (6’) tall with a slim to athletic build. He was wearing white runners, black tracksuit pants with vertical white stripes, black and blue coloured hooded jacket, white gloves and had piece of fabric covering his face. He was carrying a blue duffel bag.

Anyone who may have seen a man fitting this description in the area should call 1800 333000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
